BADMINTON AKMG 2021

The 5th edition of AKMG badminton friendlies was conducted successfully on 8th October 2021 at Engage badminton Academy Ghusais with the whole hearted support of our badminton enthusiasts & the new Central committee under the leadership of Dr George Joseph. AKMG president Dr George joseph  inaugurated the tournament by tossing the shuttle to Dr Sunny . Sponsorship was diligently arranged by our sports convenor Dr Jamaludeen. Dr Manoj Mathew arranged the winners trophies plus other gifts; courtesy of infinite sports.  This time we had a huge response from members despite the covid scenario. It was a pleasure to see the enormous competitive spirit and high standard of play. A big thanks to Sports secretaries of each emirate for increasing the registration numbers. Everyone enjoyed the game & played hard with true sportsmanship. Our Motto Happiness in togetherness was seen in it’s true sense on that day.

2. Mens B category:    Winners: Aravind Pillai & Anuroop P.   Runner up:  Mrinal Sudeep & Roy Simon.                                       

3. Ladies Category:  Winners : Sajeela Rasheed & Ayesha Hadia.  Runner up : Sangeetha Nair & Pankajam Indrajit.                                   

The support of our AKMG sports committee is commendable and this kind of enthusiasm & support from our badminton lovers is a big encouragement for our future editions. We are happy to note that the standard of our badminton matches is getting better with each edition
